Description
Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut "Delamotte" | Wine from La Maison Delamotte
The Maison Delamotte is one of the oldest Champagne houses, founded in 1760 in Mesnil-sur-Oger, a renowned terroir for growing Chardonnay. True to tradition, Delamotte combines ancestral expertise and innovation to create champagnes of exceptional quality, focused on elegance and purity.
The Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut "Delamotte" is a tribute to the Chardonnay grape variety, harvested exclusively in the grand crus of the Côte des Blancs. Vinification in stainless steel tanks ensures the preservation of its freshness and purity. Its minerality is enhanced by the addition of reserve wines, not exceeding 10%, and an extended aging of 4 to 5 years on lees. This maturation extends the finesse and complexity of the cuvée.
The bouquet is of great subtlety, blending white flowers, citrus, and a delicate touch of ginger. On the palate, the sensation is light, refreshing, and the finish presents nuances of biscuit and bread crust. The perfect balance between minerality and structure makes it an airy and sophisticated champagne.
The Champagne Delamotte Blanc de Blancs proves to be the ideal companion for an aperitif, but also pairs well with refined dishes such as scallops, oysters, or even a fish tartare. Its minerality and freshness enhance the finesse of seafood dishes.
