Description
Champagne Champagne cuvée "Métisse" Olivier Horiot
LA MAISON de Champagne Olivier Horiot, located in Les Riceys in the Aube, is a treasure of Champagne with the particularity of being the only village in Champagne to offer three controlled appellations, sparkling wines with Champagne and still wines with the appellation Coteaux Champenois (red and white) and Rosé de Riceys (Rosé). The history of la maison Olivier Horiot goes back twelve generations when Théodoric Horiot (1600), a pioneer of the lineage, created the estate by exploiting two appellations at the time, the famous Rosé de Riceys and the red Coteaux Champenois. This tradition has been passed down from father to son until Emmanuel runs la maison today. LA MAISON work 8.5 hectares of certified organic vines. Mainly planted with Pinot Noirs, their vines are located on steep slopes and benefit from good sunshine allowing them to produce fine and fruity wines that we invite you to discover.
This Champagne cuvée "Métisse" from la maison Olivier Horiot is an elegant blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Blanc, meticulously chosen from the 8 terroirs of Les Riceys, the cradle of this prestigious house. This wine reflects the power and freshness of the Kimmeridgian marl and clay soils, which blend harmoniously with the 20% perpetual reserve wines added during vinification. From the first nose, this cuvée reveals a generous aromatic palette of fleshy and exotic yellow fruits, embellished with freshly oxidative subtleties. On the palate, it seduces with its fullness and delicate fruitiness, revealing lemony and saline notes, supported by a soft texture and a light effervescence. The "Métisse" cuvée is a brut champagne that combines depth and presence, embodying the passion and know-how of la maison Olivier Horiot.
