Description
Champagne Champagne Rosé Brut Nature "Sève en Barmont" 2014 Olivier Horiot
LA MAISON de Champagne Olivier Horiot, located in Les Riceys in the Aube, is a treasure of Champagne with the particularity of being the only village in Champagne to offer three controlled appellations, sparkling wines with Champagne and still wines with the appellation Coteaux Champenois (red and white) and Rosé de Riceys (Rosé). The history of la maison Olivier Horiot goes back twelve generations when Théodoric Horiot (1600), a pioneer of the lineage, created the estate by exploiting two appellations at the time, the famous Rosé de Riceys and the red Coteaux Champenois. This tradition has been passed down from father to son until Emmanuel runs la maison today. LA MAISON work 8.5 hectares of certified organic vines. Mainly planted with Pinot Noirs, their vines are located on steep slopes and benefit from good sunshine allowing them to produce fine and fruity wines that we invite you to discover.
This 2014 Champagne Rosé Brut Nature "Sève en Barmont" from la maison Olivier Horiot is the parcel range of champagnes, created with a single purpose, to highlight a grape variety, a plot and a vintage at the service of the terroir. For this cuvée, Horiot has opted for the "rosé de saignée" method which gives a magnificent hue to this wine, accompanied by complex aromas. The grapes used for this cuvée come exclusively from the Barmont plot, located in the commune of Riceys, which rests on a unique soil composed of clays and hard limestones from the Kimmeridgian, which gives it unique characteristics. As soon as you open the bottle, the "Sève en Barmont" Champagne reveals an intoxicating bouquet of aromas of red fruits, including cherry, wild strawberry and redcurrant, as well as floral notes of rose and peony. On the palate, this champagne reveals a great sweetness and delicacy, offering a memorable taste experience that extends into a beautiful length on the finish.
