Description
Champagne PN TX 17 Champagne House Bollinger
LA MAISON de Champagne Bollinger, founded in 1829 in Aÿ, France, is renowned for its commitment to the exceptional quality of its champagnes. It is renowned for its rich and powerful style, especially thanks to the use of a high proposal of reserve wines in its cuvées. It was born from the meeting between Athanase de Villermont, a Champagne owner, and the German wine merchant Joseph Bollinger. It was in 1920 that Jacques Bollinger, a member of the family, breathed exceptional fame into this house and in particular thanks to the creation of the prestigious cuvée Bollinger RD. It stands out for its independence and family character, a rarity in the world of champagne. All the cuvées are of great class and reveal a lot of personalities.
This Brut Champagne "PN TX 17" from la maison Bollinger is an exceptional cuvée highlighting the quintessence of Pinot Noir. Made from 100% Pinot Noir, mainly from the terroir of Tauxières, then from villages in the mountains of Reims such as Avenay and Verzenay. The Bollinger PN cuvée embodies the ambition to highlight the different expressions of Pinot Noir by magnifying it on several terroirs. We discover a colour with subtle golden reflections, a nose with dried notes to which are added aromas of tobacco and mocha. Liquorice and dried fruits complete this evolved, discreet and complex nose. On the palate there are very fruity notes of cooked apricot, peach, exotic fruits followed by flavours of acacia honey, fresh nuts and spices. A beautiful salinity complements the acidity of the wine, and reveals a finish of red fruits, crème de cassis and surprising notes of citrus decoration. A lively, straightforward wine, very clear and in contrast to the nose. PN TX 17 is a wine for enthusiasts looking for the different expressions of Pinot Noir in Champagne. It is advisable to drink it between 8 and 10°C to enjoy its aromas.
