Description
Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de blancs "Les Jardins du Mesnil" Maison André Robert
LA MAISON de Champagne André Robert is a family business rooted in the Champagne tradition for several generations. It all started with Henri Robert (1881-1948) who started viticulture after the First World War. In the 1930s, he founded the first group of winegrowers in order to pool the means of pressing and winemaking. After the Second World War, André Robert, born in 1925, continued the tradition, working the vineyard with the help of horses and bought la maison family, equipped with wonderful chalk cellars from the nineteenth century where the bottles of Champagne are aged. It was not until 1962 that he began to market his own champagnes. Having been immersed in the world of champagne since his early childhood, Bertrand Robert took over the reins of the estate in 1981 with the support of his wife Colette who joined the adventure in 1990. LA MAISON André Robert thus perpetuates the family heritage and the art of producing champagnes of excellence for decades.
This Champange Grand Cru Blanc de blancs "Les Jardins du Mesnil" from la maison André Robert is made from Chardonnay from the exceptional terroir of the Mesnil Sur Oger, we discover a wine of great finesse, vinified 34% in vats and 66% in the undergrowth and then aged on lees for 10 months. LA MAISON then let his bottles mature for 4 years to let the wine develop and reach a maturity that meets their requirements. Low dosage (3g/l), this Extra-Brut champagne offers pure freshness and a refined taste, embodying the excellence of this house.
