The Lafouge family settled in Auxey-Duresses in the seventeenth century, leaving their mark on this village on the Côte de Beaune. Recognised as a reference, it has chosen plots such as Du Val, La Chapelle, Duresses and Ecusseaux as its privileged Climats . Over the centuries, the Jean and Gilles Lafouge family estate has expanded its territory by exploring small neighbouring plots near Meursault and Pommard, reaching an area of 10 hectares. Thanks to a serious commitment to vineyard work (ploughing and organic compost) and cellar practices (use of wild yeasts), each wine of the Domaine captures the uniqueness of its terroir with subtlety and greed, avoiding any excess of exuberance. The Domaine has embodied the harmonious alliance of tradition and discretion for six generations, a firmly rooted state of mind that seems to be more fruitful today than ever.
