Description
Magnum Champagne Extra-Brut "747" | Wine from Maison Jacquesson
Founded in 1798 by Claude Jacquesson, Maison Jacquesson is one of the oldest and most prestigious champagne houses. Located in Dizy, near Épernay, it was taken over in 1974 by the Chiquet family, who raised it to a global reference. Thanks to the meticulous work of brothers Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, the house has reconnected with its glorious past. Today, Jacquesson is renowned for its rare and sought-after cuvées, produced in limited quantities.
The Magnum Champagne Extra-Brut "747" is an exceptional cuvée crafted from the 2019 harvest. This cuvée is part of the famous 700 series, recognized for their high quality. The "747" is distinguished by its power and finesse, rivaling prestigious vintages like those of 2012 and 2008. Sourced from exceptional terroirs such as Aÿ, Dizy, and Avize, this champagne combines the noble varietals of the region: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay.
- Appearance: A bright golden hue with persistent fine bubbles.
- Nose: Complex, revealing aromas of ripe citrus, white flowers, and yellow-fleshed fruits, with slightly toasted notes.
- Palate: Ample and precise, marked by beautiful minerality and flavors of brioche, pear, and candied lemon. The finish is long, with a saline touch.
The Magnum Champagne Extra-Brut "747" pairs perfectly with an appetizer of smoked salmon canapés or tarama, as well as with seafood dishes such as turbot, oysters, or lobster. It also wonderfully complements cheeses like mimolette and munster, and pairs perfectly with desserts such as galette des rois or almond financiers.
For gourmet enthusiasts, it also goes well with more elaborate dishes like truffles or creamy desserts such as saffron panna cotta. This champagne will elevate your festive meals.
