Description

And yes, always improbable topics, isn't it?

It is precisely because we are a Viti-Vinicultural Conservatory that we want to highlight what is at risk of being lost: both the tools themselves and the know-how of the practitioners, the winemakers in this case.

So, the sap pruners are also called "incising pliers," "incisors"... but since these terms are also used in surgery, we preferred to use the main title "sap pruners," which corresponds to the plant world, even if it is not the most commonly used term.

To summarize roughly, incising pliers have two uses: incision before flowering helps fight against coulure, and when practiced during "fruit set" (the moment when the berries change color to take on their final color), incision helps increase the volume of the bunches, while accelerating ripening.

This Cahier, like the previous ones, is in A4 format (21 x 29.7 cm), and contains 164 pages.

Incision deserves to be known and recognized, as it can still be used nowadays, provided one is willing to delve into this very natural technique.
