After the phylloxera epidemic and the various catastrophic events that followed, the French vineyard lost almost half of its surface area by 1950. At that time, many vineyards had disappeared or were only cultivated by amateurs. However, starting in the fifties, some people became passionate about this culture and revived commercial vineyards that can now cover thousands of hectares. What factors led to this revival?
