With the Brewer, beer tasting becomes a ritual stemming from the DNA of L'Atelier du Vin. Designed by Marc Venot, Le Brasseur is a pure example of his design philosophy, which can be summed up by the right use of an object that we keep. Le Brasseur is a smiling companion who will find his place at the table for great moments and during large tables with friends.

How did the story of Le Brasseur, the bottle opener you designed for L'Atelier du Vin, begin?

The idea of Le Brasseur was first and foremost the result of an observation. With L'Atelier du Vin, we have noticed the craze for craft beers, natural sodas and water in returnable glass bottles. Thus, we wanted these moments of tasting and sharing to be joyful and relaxed. The Brasseur, an easy-to-use bottle opener, was born!

What is the personality of the Brewer?

His stick figure form, on which we have worked above all, is not insignificant: we want the Brewer to become a table buddy. The brewer is designed from a single conical block inspired by chess pieces for a good grip. Its open jaw at the top and bottom allows the bottles to be opened from above or below. The weight – 130 g – the shape and design of the jaw thus offer optimal opening simplicity.

And what about the material?

We chose stainless steel because it is a resistant, durable material that blends perfectly with the soul of the brewer. Its stainless steel body covered with a PVD skin will allow it to stand the test of time with elegance. Le Brasseur invites itself to every table. It is equipped with a waterproof synthetic leather pad to soften its installation on glass tables for example. And, because it belongs to the large family of Tools of L'Atelier du Vin, the logo of L'Atelier nestles on the yellow skate, a nod to the color of the beer.

In short, the Brasseur is a nice object that accompanies good tasting moments.
