Description

For over one hundred and fifty years, men have worked the vineyards and lands of Château Cheval Blanc. This Grand Cru Classé “A” perpetuates a tradition of precision and excellence. A ballet of meticulous gestures is performed in harmony, brilliantly orchestrated, from the vineyards to the new winery designed by Christian de Portzamparc. Combining poetry and expertise, art and technicality, this work traces the heritage of Cheval Blanc and reveals its exceptionnel heritage. Architects, artists, writers, couturiers, perfumer-creators, sculptors, Michelin-starred chefs, and conductors have accepted the invitation of Cheval Blanc: to draw on their emotions and expertise to evoke this grand cru. From Jeff Leatham to François Demachy, from Daniel Buren to Bruno Mantovani and Erik Orsenna, all take us on a dreamlike journey. From the bouquet to the fragrances, from textures to flavors, from pigment to the robe, they evoke Cheval Blanc with passion and sensitivity. Seven international Michelin-starred chefs also pay tribute to the mythical vintages of Château Cheval Blanc through unique creations designed for this work: Albert Adriá, Martín Berasategui, Claire Heitzler, Toru Okuda, Alain Passard, the Roca brothers, and Jean-Pierre Vigato. Five renowned photographers have cast their gaze upon this historic domain: Emilie Baltz, Cécile Burban, Mathilde de l’Écotais, Fabien Lemaire, and Liliroze. "Every great wine is a lesson in morality. By following its history, we learn to live better." Erik Orsenna
