Tasting of a Château Troplong-Mondot 1990:
"Beautiful robe in the process of evolution. Nose still fresh that blossoms with notes of truffles, mushrooms, sous-bois. Enbouche, the attack is supple and develops on coated and melted tannins."
Christine Valette-Pariente has always been convinced that her destiny would be played out at Troplong-Mondot, the family property whose vineyard was withering away. At 24, she not only set out to revive the vines but also to elevate Troplong-Mondot to the ranks of the greatest. For many years, her husband, Xavier Pariente, has joined her to help with this lifelong task.
