SAB'S Gin Spirits Alambic Bourguignon

Guardian of a centuries-old tradition, the Alambic Bourguignon is located in Beaune, in the heart of wine-growing Burgundy and seeks to preserve the ancestral art of distillation. Once one boiler per village, today there are only a handful of craftsmen carrying on this heritage. The Alambic Bourguignon processes grape marcs and wine lees from the most prestigious terroirs of the region and are among the last to produce the AOC Marc de Bourgogne and Fine de Bourgogne. They also offer a very nice range of Gin and Eaux-de-vie from different horizons.

This SAB'S Gin from Alambic Bourguignon is a spirit obtained after the maceration of juniper berries and 14 other aromatic plants in agricultural alcohol to obtain the appellation gin, as well as the addition of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir brandy from Burgundy. The mixture then rests for a minimum of 3 months in stainless steel vats before being bottled in bottles topped with a blue wax. We discover a rich and nuanced nose, juniper enhanced by spices, ginger and lemongrass, accompanied by a bouquet of wine notes. On the palate, SAB'S the Gin attacks with fresh and fruity botanical aromas with a hint of spice and a beautiful atypical wine roundness that is expressed during tastings neat or accompanied by a tonic.
