Description
In January 2005, Catherine Bernard, forty years old, a journalist originally from the West of France, buys three hectares of land in the hillsides of Languedoc and settles as a winegrower.
She begins another life, a new life. This book is the story of her settlement, but also the portrait of a very particular wine region, the Languedoc, transformed in the 1960s by the settlement of the pieds-noirs and where today the vines are being uprooted with the European Union subsidies.
The first lesson Catherine learns from the land: accepting that she does not know, admitting that what she learned during her year at the CFPPA is at best a framework...
