Rully Blanc "Les Cailloux" 2022 | Wine from Domaine Pierre Boisson
Based in Meursault, the Domaine Pierre Boisson continues a family tradition, with a winemaking style focused on aromatic purity and the expression of the terroir. The vines are carefully tended, yields are controlled, and the aging in oak barrels is done with respect for the fruit. Although renowned for its great whites of Meursault, the domain also produces superb cuvées from other Burgundy appellations.
The plot "Les Cailloux" takes its name from its gravelly soil, rich in limestone, which gives the wine a natural tension and beautiful freshness. The 2022 vintage, characterized by a fine balance between maturity and acidity, was precisely vinified and partially aged in barrels to gain complexity while preserving vivacity.
The nose reveals aromas of fresh citrus, white flowers, and white peach, enhanced by a subtle buttery note. On the palate, the attack is direct, the mid-palate is ample, and the finish is saline and mineral, typical of limestone terroirs.
This Rully Blanc 2022 is ideal with a filet of sole with beurre blanc, an asparagus risotto, or pan-seared scallops. It also pairs well with soft cheeses like brillat-savarin or camembert.
