Author's biography

Fanette Laubenheimer is a renowned archaeologist and emeritus research director at the CNRS. A specialist in the economy and society of Gallo-Roman times, she led the team "Archaeology of Gaul, Economic and Social Structures" as well as the research group "Goods in Roman Gaul, Production, Consumption, Exchanges".
She is also behind the Amphoralis Museum from Sallèles-d’Aude, built on the site of a Gallo-Roman pottery workshop that she excavated for more than twenty years.
